Matthew William Bussa (born June 30, 1994) is an American professional sim racing driver. He currently competes full-time in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series, driving the No. 75 Ford Mustang for Mode Motorsports. Bussa, who began his eNCCS career in 2013, has a best points finish of 4th (2018) and two career wins. His iRacing career includes over 1200 wins, 2200 top 5s, 1200 poles, and over 45,000 laps led. In the NASCAR iRacing Fixed Series, he leads several all-time statistics including most wins, most poles, and most laps led.

In addition to his NPAiS efforts, Bussa is known to be an avid road racer. He advanced to the final round of qualifications in every Mazda Road to 24 Challenge. Matt Bussa's road racing career on iRacing extends to the VRS GT iRacing World Championship Series, where Bussa competed from 2016-2017, as well as the iRacing Rallycross World Championship in 2020-21.

iRacing: NASCAR Career

2009-2012

Matt Bussa joined iRacing in the summer of 2009. His first laps were turned in the Rookie Pontiac Solstice at Lime Rock Park. From 2009 through 2011, Bussa spent much time racing the Legends car and the Pontiac Solstice. Advancing through the license system, Bussa became eligible to race in the iRacing NASCAR Truck Series. This series is where he made a name for himself and ran against World Championship drivers. Being able to compete with such high-level drivers helped him decide to pursue a World Championship license himself. The end of 2011 is when Bussa first began to learn the NASCAR Cup car. Having no team at the time, Bussa decided to wait until 2012 to attempt to qualify into the NASCAR iRacing Pro Series. After narrowly missing out from a Pro Series qualifying spot in Season 2 of 2012, Bussa managed to qualify into the NASCAR iRacing Pro Series in the Season 3 of 2012, however still without a team.

2012: NASCAR iRacing Pro Series

Bussa entered the 2012 Pro Series hoping not only to earn a World Championship license by finishing in the top 20 in points, but also to find a team. Heading into the first race of the season at Daytona, Bussa and Gale Force Sim Racing driver Dylan Duval partnered up to work together in the race that featured tandem drafting. After the duo scored a respectable 5th and 6th place finish, Bussa was approached by team owner Nick Ottinger and soon became a member of Gale Force Sim Racing. The rest of the Pro Series was a consistent and quiet one for Bussa, who scored 7 top 20 finishes in 9 races. The effort was good enough to finish 12th in the overall standings and more importantly obtaining a NASCAR iRacing Series World Championship license.

2013: World Championship Debut

Matt Bussa made his debut in the World Championship at Daytona. His best finish of the season would come in the first race where he crossed the line in 4th place. Starting towards the back of the field for most of the season, Bussa had a rather quiet first year in the series with 2 top 5's and 5 top 10's. The effort was good enough for 12th place in the final standings. His strongest race of the season came at Kansas Speedway where he qualified 2nd and scored his 2nd career top 5 finish in a wild race.
